Not another web search engine

New Science Archives searches curated collections that can include private, off-web, and unpublished material that Google cannot index—alongside relevant historical documents already available online. Its advantage is not simply finding pages, but synthesizing evidence across collections and showing exactly where each finding came from.

    Begin with more than 19,000 indexed records from collections chosen for their depth, provenance, and specialist value—with the potential to expand rapidly toward 300,000 records or more by launch.

    Return a concise synthesis with direct links back to the underlying material.

Future expansion ideas

From an archive to a digital campus

New Science Archives could grow into a place people enter much like a university: to explore libraries and collections, learn in classrooms, meet other researchers, and work with intelligent guides.

Possible additions include personal avatars, classrooms, libraries, specialized collections, meeting and chat rooms, and AI research companions.
